One of the most common ways to make money blogging is by selling digital products. If you’ve never done this before, this list will give you a list of digital product ideas you can create to make some extra income!
If you are looking for ways to monetize your blog without using advertisements, digital products might just be the way to go!
The best thing about digital products is that it is a set it and forget it method of making money. Basically, once you create your digital product and put it up for sale, there isn’t much else you need to do!
Contrast this with selling physical products: When a customer makes an order, you often still need to prepare or make the product, then package it up and ship it out.
With digital products, the product is automatically delivered to the customer with no extra steps. You can make money anytime, anywhere, with little to no extra effort!
This list will go through digital product ideas you can create for your own blog to add another income stream!

Where to sell digital products for your blog
Before we get started on digital product ideas, let’s discuss how you even sell digital products online! Luckily, selling digital products is easier than ever, as there are so many platforms you can use nowadays.
For example, my largest amount of online sales come from Etsy. Here, you can find almost all of my digital products! Etsy provides a great platform to host your shop, taking care of everything from shipping to taxes, to advertising!
You can see my Etsy shop has everything from digital templates, clothing, jewelry, services, and more! Click here to visit (and maybe buy yourself something fun!) You will see there are some physical items here as well.
Later, I will discuss how to sell physical items online without ever having to touch a single product or stockpile in your living room!
If you don’t want to use Etsy, you have lots of other options. I also use WooCommerce on my blogs to sell digital products.
WooCommerce is a FREE plugin you can get through WordPress that allows you to sell your digital products directly through your website! This is beneficial because you do not have to pay any listing fees like you do on Etsy. However, you can only get customers through your own website and marketing.
Shopify is another platform that is more similar to WooCommerce, which allows you to set up your own shop through your website!
How to Create Digital Products
I currently create ALL of my digital products through Canva Pro. Canva allows you to create pretty much anything you can ever imagine!
They offer thousands of templates you can use to create things like worksheets, schedules, and even books!
Canva also allows you to sell any design you created on their website, making it the easiest way to make digital products quickly!
If you don’t have Canva Pro, you can still create digital products. However, you won’t have access to all of the features. In my opinion, EVERY blogger needs Canva Pro (I use it multiple times a day, every day!)
Digital Product Ideas for Bloggers
Alright, let’s get to the fun stuff! Here is a list of items you can sell to make some extra money on your blog!
Printables
One of the most common digital product ideas is printables. Printables are practically anything the customer can download and save on their computer or print for their own personal use. Depending on your niche, there are a lot of printables you can create that your audience will love!
A lot of bloggers use printables as opt-in offers as well, as they are so easy to create and share online.
Here are some ideas for printables you can create:
- Trackers
- Meal planners
- Travel itineraries
- Coloring sheets
- Bingo cards
- Project planners
- Worksheets
- Planners (Like this blog post planner)
- Checklists
- Calendars
- Schedules
Another one of the most popular digital product ideas is online courses. You will find many bloggers offer either a paid or free course, especially as they get farther into their careers and learn more.
You can offer an online course about practically anything, making it a really awesome digital product to offer!
The most common places to create online courses are Teachable, Udemy, and Podia. I personally use Teachable for my courses, though the other two are just as good!
I currently offer 2 courses. One about SEO strategies, and one about using Pinterest to increase blog traffic.
Keep in mind, you do not need to be an expert to create an online course. While you should have more knowledge than the average person on the topic, you don’t need any special qualifications to create a course!
Another one of the most common digital product ideas is ebooks. Ebooks are becoming more and more popular because they are much easier to create than physical books, and you don’t need to be a published author to sell them.
Again, you don’t need to know everything about the topic or be an expert writer to have an ebook. The cool part about ebooks is that anyone can make them!
I created my ebook through Canva Pro which made it pretty easy to put together- they even have ebook templates!
You can sell your ebook on your website, Etsy, or your website’s shop. Additionally, you can sell your ebook on Amazon using Kindle Direct Publishing. It sounds fancy, but it is pretty easy to set up. Then you can say you have a book on Amazon- pretty cool, right?!
You can also use Amazon to turn your ebook into an actual hard or softcover book! I purchased my own book, just to show it off on my bookshelf 🙂
I recommend selling your ebook elsewhere though because Amazon has a lot of fees.
Another one of the more common digital product ideas is templates. People tend to love templates, as they make things so much easier! Anything that sets the stage for a user to perform a task can be considered a template.
Here are some ideas of templates you can create to help your readers do a task easier:
- Pinterest pin templates
- Social media templates
- Website design/web theme templates
- Resume templates
- Collage/photograph templates
- Ebook templates
Drop Shipping/Print on Demand

One of my favorite digital product ideas (that isn’t actually a “digital” product) is using drop shipping. This is an easy way to sell physical products such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, beanies, backpacks, mugs, etc.
The best part about dropshipping or print on demand is that you can sell physical products without needing to keep a stockpile of products in your house.
All you need to do is design the product and the print on demand company takes care of everything else!
For example, I design a t-shirt and a customer purchases it. The print on demand company then creates the product, packages it, ships it to the customer, and takes care of all the payment!
I use Printful, but you can also use sites like PrintedMint or Printify.
You can easily connect your products to your Etsy or Shopify account, giving you tons more options of things to sell!
